A lot of you are celebrating Mothers Day this weekend, and I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you and the important ladies in your lives a great day.
I just learned an interesting little fact. Anna Jarvis, the American woman who spearheaded the campaign to make Mothers Day a recognized holiday, was careful to note that it should be spelled Mothers Day, not Mothers Day. She maintained that Mothers was to be a singular possessive, for each family to honour their mother, not a plural possessive commemorating all mothers in the world.
So with that thought, have a happy Mothers Day!
